MH Chat for Teens and Pre-Teens

MH Chat is for all kids ages 10-16 who may need support, compassion and understanding from others in their age group who may be going through the same things they are. We are NOT professionals here, we just listen and give helpful advice and a safe place for kids to come and talk
MH Chat for Teens and Pre-Teens is closely moderated-there will be an Operator or Admin host in the room at all times.
There will be a separate parent’s night one night a week so parents can meet Hana and any Admin that may be in the room at the time. Parents can ask any questions they wish about the room and how it runs. Parents will not be able to ask questions about what their child talks about. They can, however ask if their child is ok, not so good, or needs professional help. Only which night of the week that will be parent’s night is yet to be determined.
This room will be hosted by Hana, a 25yr veteran of working with medically compromised kids. Hana has 4 grandkids ranging in age from 16 to 5, and walked every step with the oldest when he was diagnosed with ADHD and rages.
Children will be made aware that this chatroom is a privilege - NOT a right, they will be accountable for whatever they say and will know the consequences of their actions.
If a person is removed by Host/Admin they can appeal to the site admin where their decision is final.
